CANADIAN SCHOOLS WITH LOW TUITION DEPOSIT & NO TUITION DEPOSIT

Schools with low tuition deposit in CanadaMany students worry about the cost of post-secondary education in Canada and the burden that it can place on them and their families. Some schools in Canada have recognized this and made some effort to make education more accessible and as well affordable to them by reducing the tuition fee deposit or even eliminating them.

So, in this section of this article, I will give you the list of schools with LOW tuition deposit to NO tuition deposit.

When it comes to paying your one-year tuition fee many agents will tell you to pay your one-year tuition fee so that you get your student Visa approved. Although that might help increase your Visa approval it’s no guarantee that you are going to get approval when you pay your one-year tuition fee. So, let me share with you some schools with little upfront when securing your LOA (Letter of Acceptance).

Some schools in Canada will ask for a one-year or half-semester fee to secure your Letter of Acceptance. Some schools in Alberta have the lowest tuition deposit.

1. SOUTHERN ALBERTA INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY.

This is a publicly funded polytechnic institution situated in Calgary Alberta. Most of their programs are more focused on Business, Engineering, Healthcare and lots more. Although their deposit is slightly higher than other schools on this list, SAIT is still an affordable option for students who want to pursue a career in technical.

So, if you are choosing Calgary as your home base you want to make sure that this is best for you and your family for example do you have jobs available for you? So, if you are a civil engineer, mechanical engineer, nurse, personal support worker, or even in trades, this location is the best for you and your family.

So, you’ll need $CAD1750 which is 20% of your first semester to secure your letter of acceptance from SAIT.

The next one on my list of schools with low to no tuition deposit is still in Alberta;

2. LETHBRIDGE COLLEGE

With the deposit fee of $CAD1000 to secure your Letter of Acceptance. So, Lethbridge College is located in Lethbridge with a population of more than 100,000 people.

So, if you want to stay in this area, your program might align with Business, Trade, Technology, or Culinary art because most of the jobs you might find in this location will be in agriculture, culinary, healthcare community services and technology.

For business, you might want to consider accounting or human resource management. So, in Lethbridge, you’ll only need $CAD1,000.

Moving on to the northern part of Alberta is

3. NORQUEST COLLEGE

In Alberta Edmonton, you can check out Norquest College and the only deposit they will ask from you will be around $CAD1,000 to secure your Letter of acceptance. Most of the programs are in healthcare, community studies, technology and as well as business programs.

So, this school is a great alternative to the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology.

Moving on to Ontario. So if you are in for Ontario I have some schools for you. It’s hard to find schools in Ontario with low to no tuition deposit but I can still give you two;

4. ALGOMA UNIVERSITY

At Algoma University you only have to pay around $CAD1,000 for tuition fee deposit to secure your letter of acceptance. So Algoma University offers a lot of programs in their undergraduate programs like bachelor’s degrees in biology, community services, nursing, and information technology

5. NIAGARA COLLEGE

So, here is another school in Ontario. Niagara College has zero (0) tuition deposit. Yes, you read that right. You don’t have to pay the deposit to get your letter of acceptance. The due date for your letter of acceptance fee deposit will be 3 months before the start of your program. So, some of my students get their visas without paying the tuition deposit.

So for Niagara College, if you are eyeing culinary, Tourism and hospitality management or healthcare, or maybe you are in trade as well. If you are a welder, then this school and location is perfect for you. So it takes about four weeks to get your LOA and you don’t have to pay for any deposit fee. There is no upfront fee to pay at Niagara College.

6. NEW BRUNSWICK COMMUNITY COLLEGE

Yes, moving on to Atlantic Canada is New Brunswick Community College with as little as $CAD500 to secure your spot. So, in New Brunswick the only community college that you can find is NBCC and that is the main reason why they do have a lot of programs in Business, community services, information technology, trade – just name it, they do have it.

What I like about NBCC is that the tuition fee is only around $CAD10,000 per year. So, it is an affordable option for international students.
